FAQS

HOW LONG DOES YOUR REPAIR SERVICE TAKE?

Computer failure is the last thing you want to experience. There are many things that can go wrong with a computer, and like any other type of electronic device, there’s nothing that can stop them from breaking down eventually. The operating system gets corrupt, the hard drive crashes, you get a virus, it gets damaged by being dropped, or something is dropped on it. These are all examples of things that a computer repair technician experiences on a daily basis. The first thought most individuals fear when their computer needs a repair is, “how long is this going to take and what is it going to cost?”
You’ll be relieved to know that it doesn’t take long to fix minor problems with laptops; in fact, very minor repairs can be done in 1 full business days.  Several factors contribute to how long a repair can take. If the issue is simple and straightforward to diagnose, that can shorten the time to fix your computer. However, if the issue is more complex to diagnose or there are multiple issues, it may delay the process. On average, computer repairs can range anywhere from 1 day to 3 days depending on scheduling or part availability potentially making repairs take longer. Computer problems can be very frustrating, but when you get it to one of our technicians, and they return it to you fully functional and in great condition, it’s totally worth the hassle.

PART REPLACEMENT - WHAT TO EXPECT

Shattered laptop screens, replacing a failing hard drive, fans have gone out, and the computer is overheating, the laptop isn't charging anymore, and you are ready to just toss it into the trash. Part replacement can be frustrating, but is still many times the more viable option in regard to your computer, rather than buying a new one. If you have one of these issues and need to have parts replaced, please bring your computer into our shop and allow us to diagnose what specifically needs to be replaced. We do not just use the computer's make and model because many major manufacturing companies will use different parts in the same model of device. By looking up the part number in your computer, we eliminate the concerns of extensive delays, that cost of additional time and loss of productivity that, you the customer, pay for in the long run.

SYSTEM REFRESH/CLEAN INSTALL OF OS. WHAT TO EXPECT

System Restores or fresh installations of operating systems unfortunately happen all the time. Failing hard drives, corrupt operating systems, or simply an upgrade from one operating system to another, a clean installation is a fresh start on your PC. Once the installation is completed, our technicians do all the updates, optimize the startup sequence, minimize the number of unneeded or unwanted programs running in the background, and prepare it for easy transition of data from a backup or old drive if the data or drive isn't corrupt. Sadly, we cannot transfer any programs installed, those must be reinstalled by the customer. For an additional fee, if needed, we can also come out to your home and help set up any additional devices such as printers, scanners, webcams etc. or assist in the installation of programs that the client provides.
